Saint Padarn
A Celtic saint saves his servant.
In the early 6th century, one of Padarn’s servants went into the woods surrounding their monastery and was murdered by thieves. When Padarn heard this, he immediately set off into the woods himself. “Reply to your master,” he called into the void, and the servant’s head, torn off from its body, called back, “I’m over here!” Padarn tracked it down, then the rest of the body, said a blessing to the heavens, and the servant was made whole again, and alive too.
