Saint James of Toul
He died at another saint's tomb.
In the 8th century, James, a bishop from northeastern France, embarked on a pilgrimage to Rome. It was a successful trip and, on the way home, he stopped in Dijon at the Abbey of Saint Benignus, where the 3rd-century martyr’s body can still be found today. That’s the tomb above. For a brief moment, it was the resting place of two saints: while James was kneeling in worship, he passed away of natural causes.
