Saint Fina
A dying saint's plank.
Fina got sick with tuberculosis when she was 10 years old. Paralyzed, she was offered a bed to lie on, but she rejected those earthly comforts, instead asking to be placed on a piece of wood. She never moved from that plank in the five years until she died. Instead, her skin fused with oak, and worms fed on her rotting flesh. When she finally passed away, and her body was removed, the people who were there saw white violets bloom from the wood.
