Aldegonde
Saved by a bird.
In the 7th century, Prince Eudo got aggressive asking Aldegonde to marry him, so she fled to a monastery. The priest, happy to have her, quickly arranged a ceremony in which she’d don the nun’s veil of virginity — but no veil was to be found. Just before they were to postpone her initiation, in through the window flew a dove, with a veil in its beak, and dropped it over her head.
